Successful fundraising is vital to BSVI, as it does not receive unconditional funding from any source locally or nationally to cover the ever increasing costs necessary to run its large Centre and services to blind and partially sighted people in Bournemouth. You can be assured that all proceeds raised through any fundraising event and activity will go to BSVI unless otherwise specified.

SEPTEMBER 2010
Autumn Raffle
BSVI will be holding an Autumn Raffle in conjunction with Alexandra Rose Charities. BSVI will receive 80% of the proceeds from its own ticket sales. The Draw will take place on Thursday 28 October 2010 and the prizes are as follows:
1st - £2,000
2nd - £1,000
3rd - £500
plus 10 runner up prizes
Tickets are obtainable from BSVI at 50p each or £2.50 a book.
Saturday 25 September - BSVI Quiz Night 7pm – 11pm
Held at Rooper Memorial Hall, Victoria Park Road, Moordown, Bournemouth BH9 2RB
This is a regular event when a good time is had by all. Book early to avoid disappointment!
Tickets cost £8.00 including fish and chip Supper

BSVI Xmas Raffle
Sale of the popular BSVI Xmas Raffle tickets begins this month. Tickets, obtainable from BSVI are £1 each or £5 per book. Prizes are as follows:

2nd - Candlelit dinner for two at Langtry Manor
3rd - Luxury Hamper

Sale of Xmas Puddings
Back by popular demand are the delicious Xmas Puddings made especially for BSVI by the Ultimate Plum Pudding Company. Three sizes are available:
Large (2lb) - £8.25
Small (1lb) - £5.25
Mini (4oz) - £2.00
Puddings will be available to purchase from the beginning of October.

MAYOR'S CHARITY APPEAL EVENTS 2010 - 2011
BSVI is delighted to announce that The Mayor of Bournemouth, Councillor Barry Goldbart, has chosen BSVI as one of the charities to benefit from his Charity Appeal during his Mayoral Year.
As part of this Appeal, BSVI has organised a Pier to Pier Walk on 2 October with a jungle theme entitled 'Take a Walk on the Wild Side'. Click here for further details and a registration form.
