ActivEyes Youth Club

ActivEyes in association with BSVI have set up a Youth Club for visually impaired young people. Meetings are held on one Saturday morning a month, from 10.30 - 12.30 in BSVI's Rooper Hall. Visually Impaired young people aged 8 and above are welcome to attend and can, if they wish, bring along a sibling or friend to join in the fun!

The Club is run by two youth workers with a wealth of experience working with visually impaired young people. They create fun and interesting activities and always try to incorporate all the childrens ideas into the itinerary. If you like:

• arts and crafts
• cooking
  
• music
• drama
• indoor sports
• computer games
• eating and drinking (soft drinks only!)
• or just chilling
  

come along and join in. If non of this appeals to you then let us know what you do enjoy and we will, wherever possible, plan a session for you.

A Giant Print lending library has now been set up which is free to all visually impaired young people.

ActivEyes work closely with other organisations which enables them to offer advice and support and point people in the right direction should they be unable to answer a query themselves. Parents and Carers are also welcome to join other parents and carers at a local cafe to share experiences and information.
