Bournemouth Mayor's Charity Appeal 2010-11
BSVI is delighted to announce that the Mayor of Bournemouth, Councillor Barry Goldbart, has chosen BSVI as one of the charities to benefit from his Appeal during his Mayoral year.
As part of this Appeal, BSVI has organised a Pier to Pier Walk on 2 October with a jungle theme entitled 'Take a Walk on the Wild Side'. Click here for further details and a registration form.

Donations and Support
BSVI is delighted to thank the following for their donations and support:
- Vortigen Lodge for donating the proceeds from a Garden Party
- £10,000 from an anonymous donor towards the replacement of BSVI's ancient central heating boilers
- £8,314 from the Talbot Village Trust for cavity wall insulation and the balance required to replace the Central Heating boilers
- Sainsbury's in Winton for supporting the Society for another year with collection tins and their own fundraising events
- Nat West Commerical Banking for donating the proceeds of an Office Quiz
- Green Energy Centre for providing advice and donating energy saving equipment to the Society

- BSVI will be holding a Sight & Sound Information Day on Thursday 30 September from 10am t0 4pm. Admission is free and exhibitors include Optima Low Vision, Optelec Group, VisionAid Technologies, Hearing Products International, Oakhouse Foods, Bournemouth & Poole PCT, Bournemouth Libraries and Bournemouth Sight & Hearing Team
